Goole Local History Museum
The permanent exhibition gallery of Goole’s local history museum is free to visit and focuses on the development of the town and port, while a temporary exhibition programme in the second gallery features art, craft, photography and social history. The collections include builders’ models of vessels built in Goole, or which sailed from the town; historic photographs of the port, town and hinterland; and a significant number of paintings by local ship portraitist Reuben Chappell, as well as work by other Pierhead Painters. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 5pm (closing 12noon – 12.30pm for lunch)
Wednesday, 10am to 7pm (closing 1.30pm – 2pm for lunch)
Saturday, 9am to 4pm (closing 12 noon – 12.30pm for lunch)
