Entry now open for the eighth Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards
New categories have been introduced to the highly acclaimed Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards, which is now open for entries.
Awareness of the environment, marketing excellence and training and development will all be highlighted in the glittering event to be held on February 16th 2018. This year the submissions system will be easier than ever with on-line entry forms taking applicants step-by-step through the categories.
The awards are open to everyone who runs a business, from the sole trader and small shops, to companies who represent a large and vital sector of the region’s economic growth.
‘Now in its eighth year, the reputation and popularity of the event continues to go from strength to strength,’ says Business Awards committee chairman Garrey Hasse. ‘The Awards represent all kinds and sizes of businesses in the area and, with ten categories to choose from, we would encourage all local businesses, however small, to enter and aim for the recognition they deserve.’
As well as the new categories, this year’s awards includes Large and Small Business of the Year and awards relating to Innovation, Customer Excellence, New Businesses, Employees of the Year and Contribution to the Community.
Anyone entering the awards is encouraged to enter more than one category and ‘go all out’ to showcase their strengths and skills. The organisers are also urging those who have previously made it to the short list or become category winners to enter the 2018 awards to demonstrate their ever increasing skills, top-notch customer relations or their impact on the local community.
The black tie event at Goole High School, which has steadily grown in size and status since it was launched in 2010, receives widespread support and sponsorship from the broader business sector, which recognises the impact of local success stories on the region’s economic profile.
The awards will be hosted by the BBC’s Harry Gration and staged by the Awards Committee in partnership with the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce.
