Celebrating National Recycle Week
Recycle week runs from Monday 25 September to Sunday 1 October, and is now in its 14th year. This year’s theme is ‘Recycling – It’s Worth It’ and the aim is to encourage the public to recycle more by demonstrating the benefits of recycling from all around the home.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s waste and recycling officers are out and about this week to mark the national event.
The waste and recycling officers, from the Willerby Depot, will be visiting Goole on Friday 29th September in the pedestrian plaza between 10am and 3pm to promote household recycling and advise residents how to reduce waste around their home.
The officers will be parking their recycling trailer at each location and will be on hand to speak to anyone about waste and recycling issues, answer their questions and take requests for bins and kitchen caddies
Visit the council’s website for more information about recycling and to watch videos offering recycling tips and showing what happens to the waste residents place in their blue bins.
