For this exhibition Pippa was given access to Goole Museum and the library’s photographic collection. This has produced some stunning restored and colourised photographs of Goole.

The photos take visitors on a journey around the historic town. Unlike the original images, the clarity and restored colour gives the viewer the feeling of going back in time and seeing the town as it really was.

Debbie Hardy said : “Painstaking research and detective work worthy of Sherlock Holmes has created not only accurate colours, but also a deeper knowledge of what the photographs actually show. This is a chance to experience time travel – and you only have to visit Goole Museum to do it!”

Goole Museum is located in Carlisle Street and is open as follows:

  • Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 10am to 7pm
  • Saturday 9am to 4pm

Closed for lunch 12 noon to 12.30pm (Wednesdays, 1.30 to 2pm)

Admission is free, and there is lift access.
