Kids Go Wild in the East Riding this summer!

Kids go wild in East Riding of Yorkshire 2019.

Tuesday, 13 August will see a Pond Safari and Picnic at Oakhill Nature Reserve off Tom Pudding Way in Goole, from 11am – 2.30pm. This will be a chance to try pond dipping and environmental art activities with wildlife artist Michele Davey. Participants should bring a picnic for lunch. The event is for children aged 5-11 with accompanying adults. Booking is essential – each child costs £2.50, with accompanying adults free.

On Thursday, 15 August there will be a Minibeast Safari at Humber Bridge Country Park from 10am – 12 noon, and 1.30pm – 3.30pm.  This will be a bug hunt in the woods, and a chance to make a favourite bug with wildlife artist Michele Davey. Booking is essential: each child costs £2.50, with accompanying adults free.

There will be a Rusticus encounter with the Forest Fairy in the woods at Humber Bridge Country Park on Tuesday, 20 August, from 10am-11.30am and from 1.30pm – 3pm. Participants will hear stories of the creatures that call the woods their home. The event is for families of all ages. Booking is essential; each child costs £2.50, with accompanying adults free.

The final Kids Go Wild event for the summer will be a Pond Safari at Eastrington Ponds Local Nature Reserve near Howden on Thursday, 22 August, either from 10am – 12 noon or 1.30pm – 3.30pm. This will be a chance to try pond dipping and environmental art activities with wildlife artist Michele Davey. Booking is essential – each child costs £2.50, with accompanying adults free.
