Heritage Open Day at Goole Museum, Friday 13 September, 2019

Heritage Open Day at Goole Museum

Goole Museum will hold a medical object handling day in the Education Room, on Friday, 13 September.

Curator Debbie Hardy said :

“Interesting and gruesome items from our collection will be on display, with staff on hand to explain and help visitors get a closer look at some of these items from the not-so-distant medical past.

“Do you remember the ‘good old days’ before disposable one-use items were the norm? Visitors can guess what the objects are and what they were used for! They will make you laugh, wince and be thankful that some things have changed for the better.”

Goole Museum opens at 10am and closes at 5pm. The museum is free, with a lift and disabled toilet facilities available. The museum is all on one level.
